Never hesitate to mention your systemic disease history to your eye specialist, even you believe that it might be irreverent to talk about those conditions. Many systemic diseases have strong connection with eyes and sometimes there only signs are visible in eyes only. This is true for both common systemic diseases (like diabetes, hypertension etc.) as well as relatively less common conditions too.
